Cat back or axle back

Solo Performance
I first did the h-pipe install with the stock mufflers.
Sounded better but not great.
Researched and found good reviews about Solo-Performance.
Found out they were local so got to give them a visit.
Explained all my options and settled on the cat back system.
Basically a single muffler set up, got rid of that drone sound.
Quality product and the staff was outstanding.
Now the car sounds like a sports car without being obnoxious.

Depends. If you plan to do it yourself, and don't have access to a lift, cutting tools, welding tools, etc, and don't wanna pay someone who knows how much for the work, then get a cat back. You could easily do it in about 1 hour on ramps with hand tools. And considering the price for brands like MBRP (just over $500), it really pays to get a cat-back.
I got mine for a little over $500 and I got a $75 rebate on it. The night before it arrived I yanked the stock exhaust off. I have a convertible so I had to remove the rear subframe brace. It took about an hour. The next day when the catback arrived I went right back to it and installed it in about 1-1/2 hours. On the hard top you probably won't have to remove the brace so that would save about half the time. Even if you do it still is no problem at all. So basically, under $500 after rebates, about 2 hours of my time, and I got the 409 stainless steel Race version. And everyone has given me compliments.
However, the Race has lots of drone especially on the vert because the vert has less sound deadening. So take that into consideration. It'll break in and the drone will decrease tho. But some people who bought the Street version said they prefer the Race. Another good brand that is pretty cheap is Solo.
