Default Awning for back-up camera?

Yep. This post is probably ridiculous. I don't care.
The placement/angle of the rear camera on the s550 is stupid, when it rains you cannot see out the back as water gets on the lense. Neither my gfs Infiniti M56x or father's Acura TLX have this problem because the camera is placed/angled with this in mind. So, I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket fixes for this? Perhaps an awning/cap of some sort that blocks rain from getting on the lense? I mean, it's more annoying than anything since the rear window visibility is fine and the sensors still work... but still!

I would give Rain-X rain repellent or something like it a try, but I did see a video of someone who literally mounted a piece of plastic using plumbers putty above the camera. Didn't post results though, so I'm dubious at best.

Thanks, I don't think a repellent would be much help, the water would still block the lense. I'd love to see the results of that home made awning

I dont have this problem at all on my car, but I don't get cold rain. I wonder if there a seal that is cracked and youre getting condensation.

The rain isn't cold. It's not condensation either. The rain hits the lense due to its placement.
