How cold is it when you are doing this? When you say bias tires, do you mean drag slicks?

It was like 55 degrees outside, and they are not slicks. They are Mickey Thompsons DOT ET Street R Bias Ply tires. Not the same as slicks.

Still you are comparing apples to oranges. Of course neither tire will really work well at those temperatures. Bias ply tires ride and handle horrible compared to radials which is why everyone went away from them. Some old school racing sanctioning bodies still use them however.

Bias ply are a must if you want to launch a manual.
