Default Quick question under the hood

Hi guys, just picked up a new to me 2016 v6. Only 9000km stored inside all its life. Noticed today that something had been chewing at a black foam type of covering just to the right of centre on top of the motor. Can or should I replace this black foam piece? Not sure if it's function, it about 2" wide and about 8" long. Your help would be greatly appreciated,
Will

Look like that?

I don't see any FOAM. I see the black insulation on the firewall...

10:1 you had a rodent chewing on it. They use the material to build their nests. I would try and
get it replaced if possible... It's insulation.

Exactly, its the black thing covering the line with the little red tip on it with the light blue tape on it just right of the centre of the engine.

It's about 1.5" wide and about 8" long sitting directly ontop of the motor, I think it might just be some insulating foam for that line I described with the blue tape on it. Probably best to replace a through a bounce sheet under the hood when car is sitting in garage. Thanks for your help guys.
