Default Should You Buy a Roush Mustang?

How does 650 horsepower and a 3-year warranty sound for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Pretty good right? That’s exactly what Roush wants you to believe, although we're not so sure.

Give me the Roush.

People buy Porches for 200k over a 60k Mustang right? There's a reason, they like it better.
The way you compared a 350 to an RS3 is like comparing Apple to Android. They are both phones and do basically the same thing. Once costs $600 - $900 and one costs as little as $100. Everybody likes design and function and form. Power is not the only thing when considering a car. Or a cell phone, or how hard to push out a turd.

The cost is hardly an issue. It's a Roush Mustang. 60 grand is legit.

Ok so the GT 350 will be priced in the 50-52K range but do you think you will be able to buy one for that?

I seriously doubt it, 10K -20k "Market Adjustment" will be the norm. It will be the rare case that anyone will get one for sticker.

I am biased, that's obvious but, I just took offense to the OP. There was absolutely no substance to that article, Nothing at alll to back up his opinion. It was lame as sheet.

I would LOVE to have a 350. They look awesome! I would love to have the RS3.. thay, also, are awesome looking.

The OP just based everything on price and that is absolutely stupid. Ford makes thousands upon thousands of GT's. Roush (and Ford with the 350) makes limited numbers of the specialty cars.

That alone drives price up. Beside the point though, power is only one element. Roush is known for corner carving, track manhandling suspension.

OP was like power vs price, Roush sucks... I am like, power isn't the only thing to consider. If it were, we would all buy a Civic and call it the most awesome car ever.

Different strokes for different folks.. The 350 has history and a legendary name behind it.. The Roush has an awesome name behind it and is also a stellar performer. Another thing is the Roush is styled a little more american modern with more scoops a spoiler and sharper stripes.. I think the GT350 is sleeker and is styled a little more classically and fits a little better with the new factory Mustang styling.. Which ever one you would rather be in and look at.. Buy that one...

I think people should buy a Roush Mustang "only" if they are into all the body mods. It's about what you like, & I prefer the stock GT. I could like a few body mods, but Roush doesn't let you choose just one or two. The other argument is a serial numbered Roush holds its value because it's a "real" Roush! I think the proof is what % of the original price do you get back when you sell it!

I spent a total of $32K on a new 2008 GT with an added Roush Supercharger. I sold it a few months ago for $25K. That's a 78% return after from 2008 to 2015! I'm not sure most "real" Roush owners do much better than that. I wanted "Roush Performance" rather than Roush body panels & body modifications added to a Mustang. It all depends on what you want & what you want to spend!

I will likely go with a basic 5.0L GT automatic, a Roush Supercharger & a upscaled set of shocks .... when Roush gets a supercharger setup for an automatic! I'll get a lot of performance for a moderate price, but then I would rather own four perfect clones than one original pedigreed car. As in judging people, I'm more interested in quality & performance, ..... rather than a paper pedigree! The other day I saw a new Corvette go for $750,000. because it was the 1st one made! I guess I was raised poor & cheap, because even if I was a billionaire I'd wait for car number 500 & save about 90%!
