Question opinion needed please.

I recently sold my 07GT, and I need your opinions on this. I was looking to get a one owner certified 13-14 GT. The ones I would look at would be the premium models. But the 2015 GT has grown on me. What would you guys do if you have the choice? The reason for the older model depreciation already hit. But if I get the 2015 I would go for the base model. Let me know thanks guys!

Well...since you are putting this in the S550 forum its probably going to be a little one sided. Let me say this. This is the fist Mustang I have owned in the last 35 years. I owned a 1968 coupe years ago. There was a reason for not having one for that length of period. I test drove all the modern models, the new GT blew me away, I had to have one. I cant compare it to the 11-14's, but I also cant believe you would be getting the best Ford currently has to offer.

Thank you for the response. I posted here only because I would like to get more feedback from people who have the 15 GT. I know more about the older style, but I'm curious about any negative or positive feedback regarding the new model.

I just bought a '15 base GT 6 speed manual. I will have to say that so far I am really enjoying it, even the IRS. Even with the base GT you will get a better interior than the previous models. The only options I have on mine are a spare tire and 3.55's. I am a cheap a$$ and i do not really like leather. Seats are way more comfortable thean the previous models and I like the telescopic steering wheel. The only thing that I do truly miss is SiriusXM. I was offered a package from them for a receiver and a 1 year subscription for $100. Really happy with my base GT. Go take one for a test drive.

Thank you I'm definitely going to and do that. Mapitts the cloth seats really that much of a better quality? I was going to see how much more for a leather interior? That's what I had on my 07. But I guess once I see it in person I might just leave it.

Default opinion needed please.

I have a 2014 GT Premium and love it. But, the main reason I didn't wait for the 2015 was the body style which is completely subjective.

The only positives I see in the 2014 are:

- The looks
- The solid rear axle
- They could be configured cheaper (i.e. a base 2014 GT with no options was cheaper than a base 2015 GT with no options)
- Not a "first year of a new model"

If I didn't care about any of the above I'd have waited for the 2015.

Can't really tell because all of my previous Mustangs were leather and bought used. This is the first one that has been new to me. I think the seats are comfortable and just fine, and so does my wife. I guess I could have gone for a premium, which does give you more bells and whistles. That being said I am "thrifty". The only real thing that I miss is the SiriusXM. This one has more on it as a plain jane than my '12 GT.

Timspony, how does the EcoBoost compare to the S197's with the 4.6? They both seem pretty close in the numbers.
