Default Headlamp swap help

Hey all, how's it going? So i'm doing a bulb swap to get my HID lamps to 6000k up from the 4300k they're at now. The bulbs are plug and play, but the only problem is that i can't for the life of me figure out how to get at them. I have found zero literature online, and i'm wondering if any of you can help me. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Oh, buddy, say it aint so! I cant just reach up under the rock guard? There isn't another way that doesn't involve taking my entire front end apart?

you will have a hard time finding one for a few years on the web, i get mine right from fords site, but you have to be an employee to log in. fog lamps are accessed by removing the tires, and the inner wheel liner so those will be easier.

Well, thank you very much for your help, i appreciate it. It's a shame. I can remember swapping bulbs on my 04 escape in a matter of minutes. It's a shame that manufacturers are making DIY stuff more difficult. But the tradeoff is that the cars look amazing from the factory. So all's well that ends well.

Thanks again for the insights!

To change your fog lights you don't have to remove the wheels.
I did it last week and it tooks about 3 minutes. Very easy.

• Rotate the steering wheel to the opposite side of the bulb needing replacement
• Remove the three wheel liner fasteners
• Locate the most outside fastener attaching the front fascia to the wheel liner and remove it
• Pull the wheel liner back toward the tire to gain access to the bulbs
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb by pulling it straight off
• Rotate the bulb counterclockwise and remove from the fog lamp assembly
• Install the bulb in reverse order

Here's the link to download your owner manual: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...5/Ford/Mustang
