Y'all seem to be running low numbers. On my 16 manual, I have a JLT cai, MBRP cat back and dyno tune and I'm putting 415rwhp. The shop also stayed with a set stainless works headers and re tune, he sees 450rwhp often. I have a pic of the dyno sheet and videos and YouTube links if there is doubt in the Wild internets lol.

While I'm happy for you, most stock pulls I've seen are in the 385rwhp range which means you gained only 17 hp with a boat load of add ons which claim to make 5o+hp. So thank you for your post, seriously, thank you.

A lot of tuner companies don't bother making a product for the 2016 GT because the increases in power aren't very impressive. I decided I'd either go to s supercharger or leave it stock! They run pretty damn good stock!

The HP numbers aren't impressive, but a ~$400 upgrade dropping people's 1/4 mile times by half a second due to changes in throttle response is pretty darned impressive IMO
Some will argue that going from ~12.8 to ~12.3 is the equivalent of "blinking your eyes twice" but others will rip out back seats for less of a time difference than that... So...

All I'm trying to say is his numbers are low because with headers, he should be about 50rwhp higher. My buddy has an auto with an airaid cai, unknown exhaust with stock headers, and tune and pulls just below 400 rwhp. Like I said, the shop I go to regularly sees 15-16 stangs get into the 450's with sim setups I have but with long tube headers. If he is only getting 402, maybe his tune is very conservative or any number of small issues could be happening. Hitting 400 is great, but I feel he should be higher with around 2k worth of mods he has.

It's pretty difficult to really make a comparison between the two different dynos. The real indicator on power is what does it does at the track.

Different dynos on different days at different shops will give huge horsepower swings. And...some shops will rig their dyno to make more peak horsepower.

Lots of shops are focused on selling stuff to the Fast & Furious crowd and will tell them whatever it takes to close the deal. Not saying any of the shops being discussed would do such a thing. However, 50whp from bolting on headers....K. Maybe they're adding a bigger waste gate or something 8*) too.

Before you spend money - spend some time doing the research. Talk to 2 or 3 different shops. Find people with tuned cars and talk to them.

My favorite thing is delivering faster lap times in my relatively stock car than guys in either more expensive cars (C6 & C7 Vettes, Porches) or heavily modified cars (blowers, turbos, etc). Spend your money on the driver first. Can't claim a Skyline yet. Both owners are actually ****ing good drivers. jerks.

Also: It cracks my *** up to no end the number of people chasing more power who fail to put larger wheels(wider) and upgrade the braking system. 650Hp at the wheels rocks and the smokey burn outs look great. Just don't punch it when you get to the apex unless you really know how to control your car when the backend loses all grip. Or at the end of the long back straight where you are suddenly doing +20mph faster than before but you still have the same brakes and wheels....yard sale!

it's the Indian (native American not the ones with red dots) not the arrow.
