Of course they're squeeking
Okay guys, traded in a 15 ecoboost PP for a 16 GT PP. The brakes on the ecoboost were squeaking like a school bus after about 8k miles. Took it to ford, found a TSB, replaced brakes/rotors, problem fixed. Surely this GT with BREMBOS wouldn't be affected by this? 1,500 miles and I'm squeeking! Not as bad as the ecoboost, but I'm sure it will get worse. Does anyone know if there is a TSB for a 16 GT PP? I can't find one, and my dealers always act like I don't know what I'm talking about until I can provide the TSB. It'd be nice if Ford would stop putting these awful pads/rotors on their mustangs. I mean, they're gunna have to replace them regardless.

16 GTPP here and I'm squeaky too. 1K miles. Took it to Ford already for this, and I quote "those brembos are just noisey" ... "try holding your foot on the break a little to clean them off" I was stunned, but it is what it is I guess. If it continues or gets worse I will be taking her back.

some breaks are inherently noisy due to the layer of oxidation that can build up on them when parked overnight in a humid environment. have seen many makes and models demonstrate this over the years. some you would swear were metal to metal for the first few break applies, then the oxidation would be cleaned off and the noise would be gone. annoying, but not really an issue that can be fixed, unless they completely redesign the brake pad formulation. and you may have to wait for that to happen.

My Kia does that after sitting for the weekend outside. First time I hit the brakes on Monday morning it sounds like it is pure metal on metal but by the time I get out of my su bdivision it is gone. Gla to know that it's nothing to worry about.
