Default New mustang

First time mustang owner. Car feels loose or like it's floating at high speeds. Car is brand new.

I should add that the car is bone stock on Goodyear 20 inch wheels.

What’s the temperature outside, how warmed up are the tires and what’s the tire pressure at? Also, are these A/S tires?

it' been cold outside. I had a guy tell me to change to sport mode and it drives a lot better. The car in normal mode feels loose.

Sports mode only affects throttle response and (on an automatic) shift-points.
Is your steering set to comfort when in your normal drive-mode? Sports mode also changes your steering feel to "sport" mode if you have it set to something else. With 20" wheels, you don't have Magneride (only available on the 2018 Mustang with Performance Pack, meaning 19" staggered wheels), so your suspension does not change from mode to mode.

I have the steering set on sport mode fulltime but the drive mode in normal. It' odd that when I change everything to sport that it handles better. :/

The car probably just needs to settle in.

I think a nice set of sport springs will give you the feel you are looking for, and it doesnt necessarily slam your ride height either.

Lots of choices

Eibach, Steeda, H&R, Ford Racing, Roush ........................
