New to Mustang and forums

I currently have a chevy (meh) due to an issue that was unresolved with my Focus ST, there is a story about that I can get into later. Right now I am having a tough choice on getting an ecoboost 2018 mustang or if I should just wait and bide out some time till I think I can get a GT. I have test driven both manual models as I adore my third pedal and I love both of them. However it will be my daily. Any insight would be amazing. I am totally fine being at a goal of 350HP and 400LB TQ

You say you drove both. What did you think of each engine? The 5.0 is really great and you can't beat the sound and feel IMO but I've heard a lot of good about the 2.3 Ecoboost too. As a daily driver, the 4-cylinder will likely get better fuel economy if that's important to you. Then again, I've heard a lot of folks complaining that their Ecoboost doesn't get much better gas mileage than the V8 does. It all depends on what you do with that right foot! Beyond that, the Ecoboost is notably cheaper to buy up front, maybe a little cheaper on the insurance, although in my case, there wasn't that much difference. So what it boils down to is, what is your heart telling you? The Ecoboost may have plenty of power as a daily driver but if deep down, you're really looking at that GT, I'd say wait, but I don't think you can go wrong either way. I've got a GT convertible but I'm not one of those who believes in the V8 or nothing montra.

Best of luck with whatever you decide! :)
