Just bought a new 2017 Mustang GT Premium, exhaust questions!

I didn't say anything about faster. I said it seems to breathe better. It revs a bit more freely. In stock form, there's a "step" at a little over 3000 rpm. I assume it's where the variable valve timing is putting full timing advance to the engine. I don't feel that step anymore.
It also feels a little stronger right off idle. I don't have to finesse the clutch and pedal quite as much to take off, especially when starting on an uphill slope.
I haven't driven it enough to draw a conclusion about a change in economy. If it's improved, I'd say my observation about better breathing is correct.
I'll know before long.

I installed the Magna Flow (Street) Cat-back system with X-pipe. It added a nice deep rumble at idle and a nice aggressive tone under hard acceleration. I thought about installing the Competition version instead of the Street version, but I'm glad that I went with the Street version. It was a fairly easy install and the parts fit well.

Check out AmericanMuscle.com because they have an exhaust section that has a stock vs **chosen exhaust** axleback or cat back. you can hear them which is ridiculously cool for a company to offer this level of customer support! I just got a 2015 GT and someone had already put on a Borla 2.5" Stinger Cat back system. its loud forsure, but sounds too much like a truck with an exhaust than a mustang. im not happy as i was spoiled by a Kooks system on my old mustang and it was PERFECT!
