Before I buy a 2018 GT Premium, question about MagneRide
 

Can the MagneRide suspension be added after purchase? Is it just the dampers or is there more to it, like sensors or software? I am having trouble locating a GT Premium with the MagneRide and the dealership can't tell me if I can do a conversion or not after the fact.

Can it be added, probably, is it feasible, probably not due to the high cost of parts and how integrated the system is into the car. Example. I bought my '08 with Factory HID headlights as an option for $500.00 If you tried to part out that same OEM setup after the fact, the costs would exceed $1500 as each headlight itself is $500 ($1000) then there's the ballasts, the wiring harness, etc. If you want Magneride, get the car with it. It would not be cost effective later on to try and add it.

Thanks, and I agree. The dealership had no idea. So, I had to do my own research. In addition to the dampers there is a control module. So, it's not like swapping dampers and done.
