Default Steel wheels for S550 2018

I saw a few Camaros with stock OEM steel wheels. They stopped putting them on in 2013. But I like them. They're 18x7.5". A great snow tire rim. And a set of four is $400 on eBay.

So Camaro guys have a strong OEM option you know will last and clear the stock brakes.

Did Ford ever make a set of steel wheels stock for a late model mustang that I can get. Did anyone? I only find alloy wheels online but I like the look and durabilty of steel. Since ai know 18" steel is possible, and I run 18" anyway this seems like there won't be problems clearing the brakes.

For what it's worth I don't care about looks only function. And the trend to huge wheels is counterproductive both from a durability and performance perspective. At least beyond 19".

The short answer is no if you google Tirerack.com. The do offer a really good looking wheel and tire package for your car for $1225.

Find a set of 17" ford police interceptor steelies with caps... Not sure there is
an 18" steel option. Most police interceptors get steel rims.

You can look at all the different steel rims ford has, just check eBay...

+1, I was told by someone on the CMOC.ca forum who works in a dealership that they have used the police interceptor rim in 17". It's same bore size and the offset is within a couple of millimetres of the standard 17" Mustang alloy. I was going to go this route but got a pretty good deal on the standard EB rim so I bought a set of four with the car for my winter tires (to be bought). Just have to decide if I'm going with the standard size of 235/55-17 or going skinnier to 215/60-17 which are virtually the same circumference.

Those tires are exactly the same size, with the exception of the tread width.
9.3" to 8.5" with the skinnier tire, is all. Speedo will not be different, so you are
good.
