It's gonna be a badass car if it will only weigh 2,600-2,700!!!

The weight alone will be a great advantage.

An LS1 in a 325 is going to suprise quitea few people on the road and at the track. And yeah, it does look like it sits better in the engine bay. More side clearance it seems.

I'd say this swap is gonna make this ride a more of a sleeper than your last one. Good luck with the project, and please let us know how everything goes.

Just curious about the LS1plans - cam/heads/intake? I figure might as well shoot for moon and forgeit fora 200 shot.

Also, any reason not to do an LS2 or even 3? I'm sure cost is a factor but I'd figurean LS2 crate might come down now that the 3 is out.

A+ for originallity. I'll stay tuned.

Nice choice! The E46 style 325's are dogs! The E36's I've found are much quicker. I test drove a 03 325Ci and it was a dog. My wife 99 323is was much much faster. Surprised the hell out of me! You'de think the newer 325 would've easily been faster than an older one. Guess that wasn't the case

Regardless that doesn't matter to you cause your swapping motors anyway. But nice choice!
