Cool 08 Mustang GT vs 09 Chrysler Crossfire

OK this is the deal I have a friend back where I grew up that just bought a Chrysler Crossfire V6 not the SRT6 and he's calling me out...with a friendly bet on the side...anyone know how they do on the 1/4 vs a pretty much stock auto GT? I have a K&N CAI, Borla exhaust, and a tune this weekend...will i have a chance? Any help counts

unless he has something hidden up his sleeve, a stock crossfire will get schooled by a new mustang gt (especially one with a couple of bolt-ons and a tune). stock gt runs 1/4 mile in ~13.5 and a stock crossfire in ~15. so no worries

The GT and the 350z are more competition for each other than the crossfire will be without some major mods, if they even make any for the crossfire *does not know*

a 350z has performance numbers very similar to a s197 gt, but is a little slower: 0-60 in ~5.5 and 1/4 mile in just over 14 seconds

I used to be a 350Z girl......(shh!!!!)

They aren't as light as you would think.....3320 for a stock 350z vs 3450 for a stock mustang gt.....

You can give a stock 350Z hell.........I know.

you will destroy both of them once you get your tune.

I dont even race 350z anymore cause not even worth my time lol. I dont race anybody though cause I dont feel like loosing my car that has hustled me out of large amounts of money.

you should video tape it to so he can never ever forget you putting 5 cars on him and pulling

That's FUNNY because for most of it's production lifecycle the S197 Mustang has actually been consecutively the TOP Auto-X winner.

As for the 350Z vs. the GT, if the GT can get around 13.5 in the 1/4, then it will beat a 350Z. I had a 350Z automatic and could only get around 14.1 in the 1/4. With a heavily modified N/A motor, a 350Z still can not do much better than around 13.3-13.5. I don't think anyone has broken the 13.0 in a N/A 350Z.
