Stock Mach 1?

Stock Mach 1?
How fast are they? What kind of power do they put down? I test drove one today for ****s n gigs, and it really didn't feel all that fast, right around the same as my current car. One thing I will say, the salesman was with me, and I didn't beat on it too hard. Just did two quick pulls. Both of them I rolled out to about 10 mph and punched it. Just on the edge of traction, slam second and got a good loud chirp out of it, slam third to get a little tiny chirp and let off.
EDIT: It was a 2004 5 speed

Put down 265-270+rwhp
They run basement 13's with a great driver.
They don't feel too fast until you get them into the upper RPM's where the 4v screams. Not sure what type of car you have but they are faster then either a stock 2v or 3v.
Edit: I see you drive an LT1, its a good bit faster then your car.

Hrm, wonder if that was the problem. My car makes a lot of torque, and very quickly(its almost to peak torque by 2400 rpm) so it feels very fast off the line. Then it kinda runs outta steam, and stock there isn't any point in revving past 5k rpm. I didn't want to beat the **** outta the car, so I was shifting at the same place. Looks like I made the car feel the slowest I possibly could have, lol.

Hence, the reason 4.10s are so popular in Machs (and 2v and 3v GTs). Compensates for the lack of displacement and gets them reved up quicker. They are not slouches off the line, but they really wake up over 3500 rpms all the way to 6800 rpm.
Op, your LT1 makes max torque at 2k Rpm vs the Machs peak torque/hp coming in much later, so it makes sense that the Mach you test drove felt slower since you didn't stretch it out much.

Damit, I went thru like an hour of BS just trying to convince the salesman that I could actually drive the car and was generally interested in it, lol. Then I drive it and don't even drive it to its potential. I was seriously like, um, this thing is slow as *****. Sounded 10x better than my car though. Clutch was super grabby, I came close to stalling it twice, it was fully engaged about an inch off the floor. WAYYY different than my car. Was a good time though, lol. When I can upgrade, I am definitly going to a stang next. I failed
