An older non S you could take, but from a roll don't count on blowing his doors off. Remember also the Boxsters are about 600lbs lighter than a GT and the rear engine helps quite a bit with traction.

Personally, I've always thought they were a little underpowered for what they're supposed to be. The new S's make them more respectable for a Porsche.

I know the reason he threw the bird. He did it towards your gf! I just found out that in Germany, the only people you find driving porsche's are gay people! lol. I couldn't believe it, but I had a bunch of German's tell me that. He was mad because you had a girl and not him in your car! lol

Just like most C class Mercedes are Taxi's in Holland and some other parts of Europe. I told a guy that once and he replied: "Those taxi guys must be rich folk," Underlying reasoning is that the Mercs have pretty solid oil burners. And Diesel is a cheaper in Holland than gas.

Boxters still have the stigmata of being a Chick car. No matter how fast they are, it is still a excuse for not springing for the 911. If you are a girl you are 100% fine, but as a guy you are being ridiculed by pretty much everyone. For many there is only one Porsche, and that is the 911. And for the older generation it has to be a air cooled one too.

I had a z4 a few weeks ago that did same thing, only didn't flip me off, but I took off from a green light like I normally do and I hear him downshift. I just floored it. At the next light he granny rolled me (coast off the line then gun it). Granny rolling AKA street start makes you lose a few tenth on 0-60 since you already have the weight of the car in motion and the TQ is hindered at that point by the RPM.

At the third and final light I simply hammered it from the start, he was so far back by 60 I slowed to let him catch up, he didnt both to try.

Mind you Im an auto so street starts really do kill me unless I manual shift. Ford is way too slow on the autoshift in Stock form which is where Im at, at the moment.
ha funny you mention that car.. i had an encounter with one on the highway who flipped me off... he did it for no damn reason.. he FLEW past me at like 120 and flipped me and my buddy off lol... damn people these days

I like the new Cayman's myself, they perform well with similar styling to the 911, and for less money. They actually throw off some pretty impressive 1/4 mi times for their weight and power.
