Default Estimate time/MPH and injector question...

This car is right in between where I am now and where I want to be. First off, with a very competent driver and D/R's what do you think this thing would 1/4 both time and MPH? Also considering what's been done doesn't the injector size seem a tad high or are they the best choice for optimum performance? I'm guessing smaller one's would probably work just fine but are bigger ones better for those mods? Here's the car http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/cto/1151273905.html Thanks...

Where do you live? High altitude/humidity?

I'd say mid-low 13's wouldn't be too far out of reach...

I live in Vancouver B.C Canada. Don't think altitude and humidity are an issue where the track is. I was thinking a 13.2 would be possible but what about MPH? 102-103? What about those injectors?

injector's will be fine as long as the MAF is calibrated for them.

Yeah we get raped on prices but that's a clean well put together car. Something tells me coupes are more disireable up here, they outprice hatch's and verts by quite a bit. Even if calibrated with the MAF would the 30's offer any benefit over 19's or 24's other than burning more fuel. I've been told stock 19's are enough for 350hp and 24's would surely be enough for this cars build, no? The way I read the ad, the heads are polished and ported stock wheezy E7's. Some AFR 165's should put that thing in the high 12's, basement 13's with a tire I would think...

30's are over kill for the motor, yes.

I remember reading a old article where they replaced a 5.0's injector's and it gained 2mpg, and like 7rwhp, because the fuel was being atomized better or some crap.

19lb's are good to about 280rwhp, anything over that is to much as you want to stay under 80% duty cycle

24's would be ideal for that set up, even with good head's and such 24's are plenty.

but you will be fine on 30's like i said, if he has the right mass air flow.

i love my new little coupe so i can see them charging alot more upthere for 'em.

He has the exact same TB/MAF settup as me but I lack the E-cam and Typhoon intake and ported heads. I would run 24's like you said if it were my car. Ya'think it would trap in the 102-103MPH range?

to be honest, id put the 10k into your car.

for 10k you could build a 351, and put a TKO600 or built C4 behind it.

his setup is not going to gain much power over your's if that's all the difference, maybe 15hp if its just the intake, cam and ported heads.

the cam and head's are just turd's.

what's wrong with putting the money in your car? do like i did and pick up a 4cly fox for a DD

Don't worry, I prefer my car lol. I'm not looking to replace her I was merely trying to find out what his additional mods would net it in the 1/4 and trap and if it needed 30lb injectors. Mine is a 67,000 mile unabused/unmolested car, I've yet to come across one like it here in Vancouver that was as nice and unmodded. The way I see it, the mods that I have now make the car the way it "should" have come from the factory way back in '93 with the exception of the geriatric heads. Ford could have done better with those but I suppose bottling up torque for the street was their goal as opposed to freeing up top end in the 90's. I'm just on Craigslist daily looking at what's out there for the money is all. Another 6 grand into mine is about as far as I'm going to take it for me to enjoy and that includes a hi-po brake upgrade. Thanks for your responses bro :-)

101-104 depending on your driving skills.

It's way hard to bench 1/4 online though. Go to the track.
