alright so maybe ill just expect to do terrible so if i have any good times then i can be happy. So i guess ill expect to be in the 14s. My buddy with his stock 06 ran a 13.7 . . . and every time we race i jump out on him and keep about a length on him

ill take any advise, tips ... so far i know to drop the pressures and start to go when the last yellow amber light lights up. feather it out from what 2 or 3 k rpms ?

Sounds like you got a pretty good game plan. No burnouts on street tires. Stage deep for the best time slip. Get staged as fast as you can and set the RPMs then don't take your eyes off the tree. And any excess weight you can remove will only make you go faster so get rid of the spare and the jack.

alright so you were right, and i was wrong , but only by a little bit ! Only got to run three times, but I am happy with them for now. I learned that this track is known for the loss of traction !

Alright I ran against a S2000, a Jetta, and my friends 06 that ran 13.7 last summer. He was still on the stock 18" BFG , but they were all the way worn down to a slick haha. He has another set of the stock tires on it right now. He ran a mid 14 today with a best of 13.9 i wanna say.

My first run was reaction of .7460
60FT Time 2.2621
1/8m ET 9.17
1/8m MPH 80.31
1/4m ET 14.0039
1/4m MPH 102.25

my second run
Reaction .6809
60FT 2.1691
1/8m ET 8.98
1/8m MPH 80.65
1/4m ET 13.7881
1/4m MPH 102.97

my third run with my spare back in because I thought I was leaving !
reaction .6050
60FT 2.1840
1/8m ET 8.9129
1/8m MPH 81.05
1/4m ET 13.7201
1/4m MPH 102.49

I didn't launch the first or second times . . the third i brought the rpm's up real quick between the second and third yellow light and dumped it. What do you guys think for the first timer

i think you did well and you were consistent, work on the launch and mid 13s are there easy. get a tire and low 13s are possible IMHO

props for manning up and admitting your view....

Looks pretty good OP. Before I say there is room for improvement, what were the conditions like at your track.... location, DA, temps, etc?

Pretty good for the first time out. You got a couple tenths left in your sixty alone. Takes a couple of times before you figure your car out. By the end of the summer you should be mid 13s for sure and low 13s if your a quick study.

Your car looks good man, so do the vids. It does look like you were too aggressive on a couple of the launches imo, mainly in the vid with you and the white S197. I would try taking off easier to avoid so much wheel spin.

FYI I missed a gear in the silver s197 =) but he was rocking **** all day for his first time at the track. Put my videos up please for some form of redemption =) my car looks really slow against you, I feel as though me smashing the twin turbo vdub and the **** talking civic SI would be good for a laugh for everyone on this forum. T'was funny, I was lining up against a new body style civic SI, and he mentioned before we raced how he was "partial to japanese cars" I asked him why, and he replied "you'll find out in a minute"

I proceeded to beat that ***.
