Default Guess my ET ?

Going to the track this weekend for the first time.

elevation at track - ~400 ft.

temps predicted - high 60's / low 70's

driver mod - ehhhh.. im ok i guess.

never ran at a track, but know what i'm doing.

06 gt . . 5 speed with hurst. nitto NTRD1 tires on rear 255's. Will drop tire pressure because i spin like a ****, but what PSI should i set them too ? Also have Eibach Pro Kit installed

mods so far - FRPP 3.73 , JLT 3 with Xcal 3 brenspeed 93 oct. tune. steeda UDP.

any predictions ? thanks

I run my MT ET's at 13 lbs. You can grab a silver sharpie or paint marker then put a line on the rim/tire. Keep lowering the psi by a pound and make sure that the tire isnt spinning on the rim. If the notch is moving a lot, then you will probably need to add more psi. Im guessing youll run a 13.3 or 13.4 on your best ET. -Jon

Since it's your first time at the track, I'll say you'll average around low 14's and high 13's with a best of a mid/low 13.

Good luck!

What track???

with street tires dont do a big burnout, spin to clean is all u need.

Pressure 25ish is usually about the lowest u want on a street tire.

Mid 14s on the first couple of runs and high 13s before you pack up and go home.

how old are you?

i think that your goal should be to run in the high 13s, but who knows...some people just have it right off the bat...or a little beginners luck, and you could see 13.50s?

LOL I'm not trying to blow out your candle. But take a quick little pole of everyone in this street & strip section that had a "great" first time experience at the strip vs. "a man I thought I would be alot better and I'm disapointed" experience. I think you'll be suprised at the amount of wow it's harder than it looks responses you get. But I hope you do have a great first outing. Doesn't matter if you suck or if your great because after the first time down the 1320 you'll be hooked.
