Would I beat my friend's car?
Hi guys, I just started getting into cars because a lot of my friends are into them. I have one friend in particular who i REALLY want to beat in a race because everybody idolizes his car. I was wondering in your honest opinion if I could beat him in a drag race...
My car:
2004 Mustang Cobra-six speed
4.10 gears
k&n CAI
mac headers
cherrybomb catback
His car:
2000 Trans Am WS6-automatic
mti clear air lid, k&n filter, Fast 92mm throttlebody, ported Fast 92mm intake, Trex cam 244/250 - .609/.613 - 110 LSA, trick flow 215 heads, hooker lt headers, ory w/ elec. cutout, slp dual dual catback, 3.73 gears, 4000 stall, dynotune.
Those are all what he said he has done to it. In your honest opinion, who would win?

hmm idk, but how are those gears in your cobra? i figured they would be too steep for a terminator.
He will probably take you though, im sure if you did a smaller pulley and ported the supercharger you'd Beat him

If you went with a ported blower and a wicked tune it would be a close race.. But a HCI ls1 is good for about 500 wheel.. Most ported cobras see around 450-480.. Drivers race.. just dont go from a dig because he will destroy you

Heads, cam, intake is only going to be between 400-450whp. Unless this is some majical ls1 I think it's a drivers race. I leave 400whp ls1s like nothing and I only have 530whp

Too close....sounds fishy LOL. but seriously damn, that was a good estimate.
OP, he's got you by a ton of power. It doesn't look good for you.......

I feel your pain. It just doesn't seem fair - LS1 with a nice set of heads = 500hp. Good friend of mine has a modded ls1 with a 150 shot. He's got an ax to grind since I got him with my eldog. One hooked up and one didn't.
I'll give him a shot at mine after i break in new engine but before i go fi. We should be pretty close after I get my KB when I run 14 psi.
