It is Subaru's homologation car for WRC so it doesn't necessarily surprise me that it doesn't have it. If rally drivers don't need it, I guess they figure why should street drivers?

ah, but the WRC cars DO have launch control. the WRC doesn't mandate that LC has to be on the homologation cars

Me vs friends stock 2009 WRX before my tune. Without passengers the race is still like that now. I make 268whp and 310tq with a weight of 3460 with me in car. I don't know if an STI would be any faster.

yea the cobb access port version 2 comes with a launch control.... the newer sti's just have that 3 mode thing... i think all turbo factory subaru's have the 3 mode selection....

Sweet vid, thanks for sharing dude. I feel like it would- an STI makes 305 hp at the crank stock so I think it'd have much more pull. Its crazy to think about but WRX's only make the same power at the crank that '99-'04 Mustangs did years ago.

That is true but as you see in this video my car is making around 260whp. Which is around 300 crank. How come my car doesn't just blast his car? Newer WRX's are underrated and some dyno at around 235 at all 4 tires. They are quick little cars.

Because your dyno numbers are extremely high for your mods. When I had just similar mods, I dyno'd around 35rwhp less. Several others also dyno less with identical mods.

being a Subaru and mustang fanatic it all depends on how good he is gonna hook when he drops the clutch. Especially from a dig he will be very dangerous ( have actually suprised mustang owners with my turbo forester) your best bet is from a roll its still could go either way i believe the mustangs are heavy but so are stis since they are awd not sure who is hevier. I think it really boils down to driver skill.

Don't most new STi's struggle to trap 100? I think you'll be fine.
