2010 V6 vs. 2010 Camaro RS
 

ok, so a friend of mine has the camaro, and i have the mustang (the better one :icon_lol: ) anyway, we havnt raced from a stand still, but when we were about 10 mph we had others in our cars to judge when to say go, well as the camaro pulled ahead for a little bit, i shot out in front. this has happened.... twice now. he claims it to not be a race, well, if we are both accelerating rapidly, thats sort of a race right? now is it really possible that i could have a better car for V6 stock racing?? or is he just a pussy driver lol

Agreed. I like the new V6 Mustang too, much better than the Camaro. But the two cars are mechanically close enough that you shouldn't be able to just leave him behind with no problem.

That's what I thought but are the Mechanical differences close enough for me to pull ahead? Has anyone else raced a camaro?

Put an X-Charger on your 4.0 and leaving him will be no problem.
As much as I am a Mustang lover, the V6 Camaro has a slight advantage. I would say the guy was not racing you.

His car is faster... If you had the 2011 V6 it would be different.

As much as I don't like the Camaro (imo atrocious exterior, interior etc), I think it has an upper hand. Add duals, CAI & a good custom tune and maybe LCAs, and it might be a different story

That RS should be much quicker than a 2010 V6.

Heck I totally missed that you were talking about a 2010 Mustang. For some reason I thought you were in a 2011. Yeah, there's no way the 2010 is faster than the Camaro RS, not without mods.
