Default 70 trimm Integra vs Vortech HO 05 GT

I have a guy at work who claims that his integra ran an 11.5 @ 128 at the track about two weeks ago on street tires, and I wanted to call BS. The guy had never taken the car to the track before, and IMO that is way too high of a trap speed for an 11.5. Even if the guy has a 70 trimm, I don't see him getting into the elevens. I get my car tuned thursday, and I'm really wanting to run this guy. The kit that I have is supposed to put down 462 rwhp, and I have 4.10's, headers, p&p TB, TB spacer, o/r x, and a couple suspension mods. What are your opinions? Dig and roll.

Well if he's honest you're done if he's lying you'll probably pull nicely. BTW an 11.5@128 is def doable. My friend was running that EXACTLY in his cobra while he was trying to learn the best technique. I will admit if he claims that's the best it'll do it's bs as that trap is easily good for high 10s

11.5 at 128 isn't possible through a FWD on street tires. He's bs'ing you.

Haha, unless his idea of street tires is anything DOT legal.

With a turbo that big, he'd need a built motor. With a trap like that I can see it running 11.5 for sure. I've made mid 12 second passes @118ish on street tires. You just gotta control the spin in first and second and then let the big turbo do it's thing on the second half of the track.

Could you see an 11.5 on street tires though, fwd? I'll take your word over mine, lol.

My car should be capable of low 12's high 11's or even mids shouldn't it? So if he is telling the truth it should be pretty close. He also said this was his first time at the track, so like I said I would be surprised.

BB at your run you were at 118. I'd be surprised that he would only be two tenths better with 10 mph more AND on street tires.

IF he's really trapping 128mph... he would eat you alive from a high roll. At the track it would be closer... you would take the lead on the first half, but he will be coming up on you fast.

a 70 trim seems like a huge turbo for a 4cylinder. i'm gonna say he's bs'ing you and i think you'll get him.

I ran the 11.7 with slicks cutting a 1.7 sixty. If he's a real good driver he might cut a 2.1 sixty on the street tires. You should jump him hard off the line. If the kid is telling the truth about the size of that turbo he'll be coming like fighterjet on the last 1\8.
