should be a 1-2 car length win for you assuming both cars get the same amount of traction

if it's a 4L60-E it may surprise you a bit and get a jump on you from a dig considering you are hefting around 18x10" Saleens on all 4 corners... that unsprung weight adds up from a stop

you should run him down easy enough though... I'd say you have a good 40RWHP on him

Good god man you got a million dollars worth of mods. So you should only lose by one lenth to the mighty LS1.

if the 10 inch wide saleens on all four corners are weighing as much as I think they are I'm going with the idea that the LS1 will pull ahead out of the gates

so I stick with my 1-2 car length lead for the S197 by the end of the 1/4 mile

cooler weather this time a year... cold weather + 555R's = up in the air on whether they will grip like they are supposed to

now up in the air grip + 4.10's... even harder traction problems

NOW add the boat anchor wheels for gobs of unsprung weight into the mix

that is just my way of looking at the setup anyways

of course I'm basing my conclusion he will be racing a 4L60-E though... a T-56 car will have just as much problems finding traction with street tires

if I remember correctly the OP is also the guy that said he only dynoed 320RWHP when everyone else said he should be @ 340-350RWHP on his setup as it sits... so that was another thing that is running in my mind

then again the heavier wheels coupled with the steep gearing could be counteracting each other so it's all up in the air... my bad for speculating I guess?

I would just put a ls1 in your mustang to be safe

You should walk him pretty well from a roll, down low though I agree with morbid, he may get the jump on you

Of course there's one thing I have to remember.
I don't know how much of an effect this would have on my dyno or not.

RIGHT when I got back from the dyno I took my car to the shop due
to a knocking noise in my tranny.
I ended up having to get a NEW TRANSMISSION because
I was missing freaking teeth in some of the bearings of the tranny.

This was right after they insalled 4.10's, cams, long tubes, and catted x.

The car was driving FINE, but I had that knocking noise.
I don't know how the hell the car was driving fine with the tranny like that.
I saw the damage myself though, and I have NO IDEA if the car
was like that BEFORE it was put on the dyno, OR someone took it out
at the shop after all the mods were done and romped on it
and did something to the car on accident then though.

But if the tranny WAS like that on the dyno,
It would affect the readings no?

It easily could have effected your numbers. If you had a bad bearing (like loose or seized) than it definitely would.

When they took it apart one bearing had freakin' teeth missing.

Again though... I'm not sure if the tranny was that way when it went on
the dyno... or when it got off the dyno.

BTW the saleens only weigh 26 pounds a piece.
Actually lighter than stock.
