Default Notch vs Lighting?

Hey I was wondering how iI would stack up against a stock lighting. This guy at the local is so cocky and talks a lot of smack and I want to shut him up. I know Lightings can be really quick modified. i have an 87 Notch with GT40 heads, GT40 upper and lower intake, udp, hedman shorty headers, o/r hpipe, e-cam, 3.73s, a/c-smog delete and a few other small things here and there. I really dont know were I stand since I havent gone to the track or really run as much as i use to. Any ideas?

Are you talking about the track, the street, from a roll or a dig??? are you on drag radials what gears do you have?

From a dig on the street I think you will have your hands full with out a doubt, from a roll I believe you should get him but you never know.......

OP said he has 3.73s. But def without a tire you'll have a fight from a dig. A roll would be interesting too because the truck already has its weight moving... kinda takes that out of the equation a little.

Def get a vid.... we need some action around here!

It will probably be close, but if you can drive, and your car runs good for what it has, i say you have the edge here.

I like the Fox's chances. Not saying its the best combo in the world with all that GT40 stuff and an E-cam, but stout non the less. From a dig, both are going to struggle.

Ive seen gt40 stuff in the 12's with the right driver.

you have the edge on a STOCK lightning. If I remember right they run mid/high 13's stock.

Can't remember the exact switchover (01 i think) but the earlier models ran high 13s/low 14s... the later models would go as low as 13.3 stock (traps around 103mph)...
