Default SRT8 Chally v.s. Heads intake fox

Buddy of mine and his friend to town today in a orange 10 SRT8 chally auto with a few mods... Cammed, intake, tb, cat back, and a tune. Car made 436whp 407wtq and it is on street tire but I dont know how it acts on the street as far as hooking and what not.

My car everything is in my sig if I put the bogarts on the car my race weight will be in the area of 3100-3150

So what do y'all think of some runs from 10-20 mph 1st gear rolls and around 40-45 roll

The likely hood that we would run is pretty damn good I just gotta get a clutch in my car first. Just tell me what ya think b/c I'm not too sure haha

At the track I like your chances but from a roll he will simply out top end you.

^ agreed.

the cars a tank but the weight makes less of a difference up top. past 60 i feel as if he's just gonna yank you. however i say race him from a dig, put lengths on him while he spins and hope you got enough. with him having 440whp and prolly 4100 lbs, that's almost 200 horse more than you so for it to be fair you'd have to weigh more so around 2000lbs lol.

All right I'm pickin up what y'all are puttin down!! I know usually those tanks are highway monsters, and I'm always willing to do a higger roll if they have issues down low but in this case I know that could be a bad turn out.

And ctgreddy those dyno numbers are from the bolt on's only and stock heads. I havnt been able to dyno the car yet but it,should be in tge ballpark of 300ish to the wheels, and should trap in the 112-114 areain the 1\4 to give you an idea.

So you plan on doing heads and intake, but keeping the stock cams? If you can actually trap around 112-114 mph with the new setup you might even do okay from a roll to around a 100 mph or so. Just for reference, my buddy has a cammed and intake 06 GTO that puts down around 445 rwhp, and traps right around 115. And the goat is 200-300 lbs lighter than the Challenger.

89 has already trapped 89 mph in the 1/8th with the new set-up, so that's easily a 112-113 mph 1/4 mile trap.

I'd say if you get 2 cars on him from a dig, he should close that gap by 100 mph and be a car (maybe 2) ahead of you by 120-130mph. A lot of it is going to depend on what kind of cam he put in that SRT.

What he said! Already done everything still stock cam, already run it in the 1/8 trapped 89.6. My car works well, it's light, and it's got the driver mod.

Stone as far as the cam goes it doesnt pound the ground a lot, and they said its the biggest cam they could do and keep the stock stall so what it is i have no clue. And the chally made peak power at 5700 and started falling off at 6000.

Gotta be a baby cam then if its falling off at 6k and he's on the stock stall still, or more of a torque cam. You might even hold his tank off up top. If he had a hotter cam and a stall, I definitely say you were a dead man, but sounds like a really mild set-up on his part. No headers either... stock they trap about 109ish, so with his cam and tune he might trap 113? I'm honestly leaning in favor of your car the more I think about it.

Yea he had nice tq and power curves on the dyno sheet, but still stock exhaust mani's and mud pipe so very mild set up for sure. I've havn't seen too many mild set up 6.1's but I thought it could be a fun interesting run!!
