Default stock termy vs stock gto

well my one buddy bought a stock termy a few weeks ago as i've mentioned before, and now another friend of ours just bought a stock 05 gto a4. They're talking about setting up a roll race or two before they put the cars away for good so they can get a stock for stock race. any clue who has the edge? i'm going to guess the termy. i've heard that the m6 goats and termy's are a drivers race, but i'm assuming the auto would hurt a little at a roll.

Cobra easy. I dont even see the M6 GTO hanging. Cobra traps 110-112 to the GTOs 108-109. Hopefully they video. It's boring on here lately.

the cobra trapped 113 at the track, it does have a catback i forgot about but that's it. I thought i saw a few vids of stock for stock being a car length win for the cobra but i dunno. It'd prolly be recorded with a gopro since the cobra owner just got one, but it's better than nothing lol.

Greedy as you know I ran one last wk. Quick question though? Does the 05 have the 6.0 or 5.7L engine.? The guy that I ran had the 6.0 badges and dual exhuast and I put a solid 2 car lead on him. My money would be on the Cobra. I figure I'm putting similar numbers as a termy, so should be a win for the Cobra. Put this one on vid my man!

you're for sure more power than a termy, they only dyno around 360 i believe and they're a lot heavier. but it's a 6.0. 04's are ls1 5.7 and 05/06 is 6.0 ls2.

This.

Whoever thinks they are a close race needs to be on meds IMHO. Since the GTO is an A4 there is an even greater difference in traps.

^^^ I agree

As long as the Cobra owner is a decent driver it should put a pretty good hurting on the GTO!!

well that's good to know haha, looks like the race might happen sunday.

what would you guys think about their race next spring, gto owner's doing full exhaust intake and a tune. cobra's getting a o/r midpipe, pulley and a tune.

Same here, an LS2 A4 GTO is definitely a quick car stock, but it doesn't have anywhere near enough top end to keep up with a stock Cobra. He needs a tune and full exhaust to trap in the low teens like the Cobra does. Should still be a fun race though.

I'd like to see this run from a dig, personally.

Ninja edit.... that GTO needs a cam on top of full exhaust and tune in order to hang with a pulleyed Cobra.

Pulley is huge for the cobra. The GTO might wanna do a cam swap instead.
