Seems like you have a clean looking fox, it'll just take some patience. Fix those issues and then let the modding begin.

Thanks. Do you think 176k miles is to much on the engine to do any mods?

Depends on who you are and how well it was taken care of. I did my cam at 138K, headers right at 150K.. 152K now and climbing.

By mods i'm not talking about tuning. Just bolt ons.

Who I am? I'm practically a infant learning how to crawl, two months ago I didn't know how to open a hood. Now I can check my own oil level LOL
Seems that the cars been decently taken care of, looks fairly clean, has been drag raced so rode hard. Battery seems about done but the engine seems to run fine other then idling in the cold it sounds high then low then high then low...

Your car is not the fastest thing, but is fine for learning how to race in. I used to have a 3.8 Camaro that ran 15.107 @ 90.57 mph. That's what I learned how to race in. I learned racing etiquette, how to launch, burn out procedure and a bunch of other things. Then when I switched to a high hp car I could start worrying about traction and already had the fundamentals down.

Plus your 5.0 has a huge aftermarket if you choose to start modding, which is inevitable if you start racing.

As far as you not getting thrown back in your seat, it could be one of four things.

- You're spinning your tires and not actually accelerating
- Your engine is bogging and not accelerating as fast
- Problem with your engine which is effecting your power
- You were expecting more than what your car is capable of, as it sits now.
