Default Cobra vs Camaro

Ok guys, this race may happen this summer if we take the cars to the strip.
Whats your opinion of what will happen?
I work with this guy. He has a 2010 SLP 575 Camaro. Cars now making about 650rwhp. Has stock 20"s with radials. Car still has stock weight, short shifter, different springs, and Im not sure whats done to the engine.

I have a 2003 Mustang Cobra coupe. I have full exhaust including long tubes, 60lb injectors, bigger fuel pumps, JLT intake, 26 spline input shaft, IRS brace, springs, 3.73 gears, spec 3 clutch, accufab throttle body, 105mm MAF, and a 2.2 Kenne Bell on 16lbs.
I currently just have a chip. Car made 572rwhp and 580tq. Hopefully get dyno tuned before the race and make over 600rwhp.

I wouldnt say either of us are pro drivers.

What tire are you going to be running? Any weight reduction on your part? Should be a pretty interesting run imo...... If you have a real sticky tire vs. his dr, that may play a big roll, since yall are pushing so much power.

Just have street tires right now. plan on having radials, but may not have them for the race.
I just stripped my trunk out. no tire, jack, or carpet. My car does have 18" SSR GT3 wheels though. I weigh 140lbs. Im guessing he has nearly 100lbs on me.

Thats a drivers race brother, no way around it.

I take it you guys are going from a roll? IMO, you're powerband will cancel out the HP he has over you, just going to have to keep those street tires planted to win.

Any track ETs for either car?

This will most likely happen at a track. Hes over twice as old as me, so dont see any street runs happening haha
Ill hopefully be throwing some radials on here soon.
Neither of us have been to the track in our cars yet.

at the track, you're gonna need a good tire to pull out the W. if this was from a roll I'd agree with stone that this would be a very close race. he has more hp but more weight, and I'd have to believe the cobra would also be much more aerodynamic.

Gotcha...at the track, its going to come down to who has the best 60'. My advice, go around the water, smoke your tires for a second or two (smoke, not spin), and ease into it just like you would on the street. Don't worry about launching hard, reaction times, or any of that BS, and you'll beat him every time. Being that neither if you have ever been on a track, its going to be more you against your own car vs you against him.

Hopefully I can get it set up, sounds like it should be close.
