Stock 5.0 vs Evo VIII MR modded?

I just got my 5.0 on 4/30/12.
6 speed GT premium with standard gears (not 3.73s)
completely stock

My buddy just bought a 2005 Evo VIII MR (6 speed manual)
Mods: Cam, Tune, Full exhaust, intake, injectors, larger inter-cooler piping, bov, and probably a few other things) Dyno (from previous owner): 339HP 332 TQ (to the wheels)


Assuming equal drivers,,,, Who'd win? (admittedly he is a better driver than I am, but for comparison purposes who "should" be faster)

1/4 mile?
Roll 20-100?
Roll 60-130?
Dig -80?

I'll race him and find out, but I'm just curious what others thought? I'm guessing it will be close, but he's probably faster.

He will murder you, imo. Roll, dig, won't matter. Get a tune and even things out.

I'll let you know how it goes when ever we meet up . (he's 3 hrs away) so it may be a week or two.

I really didn't want to modify my car too much. I know once I start I won't want to stop. lol

I know exactly what you mean, lol! Modding is a slippery slope for sure.

Those EVOs just respond really well to mods. I've seen them do 118+ and high 11s on the stock turbo. Would love to have one, but they're pretty pricey for the age/mileage for my taste.

Hate to tell you bro, but you have no chance lol, especially from a dig. Theres a kid around me with the same-ish setup (stock turbo) but running 75% meth and he's making around 400 awhp. He smokes modded termis, beat a Porsche gt3 rs, a couple bikes, and a ton of other cars....just so you have an idea.

Those things are nasty modded.

I've been in the car with another passenger and he still spun all 4 through 1st and 2nd. Lol

It's nice numbers for a stock turbo, deff. Though you know how dyno's vary. Still though 400whp is 400whp whether its from a stock turbo or an upgraded one. 400whp isn't anything now a days. haha.

For real, its not. I was just makng the point to the OP that he will have his hands full. And relating the car in the posted video to the one he mentioned bc they're relatively similar minus the meth.

Either way AWD is nuts, so he will need some mods to keep up.
