Buttplug72 took her GT back to San Antonio Raceway last night
Tammy (Buttplug72) is still shooting for her 12 second time slip in her stock 2013 Mustang GT. We headed out to SAR last night and left my car in the garage. She made quite a few passes and pulled out quite a few 13.3's @109mph. She's working on her launch and shifting. She is still very new to this, so it's always a learning process. I am so proud she has taken such an interest in drag racing.
I decided to make a few passes and first was a 13.2@111mph. Hot lapped the car and ran a 12.86@112mph. Went back to the pits and while Tammy and I sat in the car with the heater on (it was freaking cold, haha), a guy pulled next to us in a '13 "Gotta have it green" GT. I had seen him make a few passes earlier and he was running consistent 12.7's on slicks. He asked if I wanted to race and I was all for it. I was a little fearful because of him being on slicks, but what the hell, why not?
First pass was a 12.72@112 to his 12.84@111. We hot lapped and got right back into the staging lanes. Next pass was a 12.79@113 to his 12.80@111...what a close race. I couldn't tell who had won before seeing the slip. Final pass, we changed lanes and I ran a 12.74@112 to his 12.65@112. So, 2 outa 3 and I was happy being I was on street tires. He was a really cool dude and I am sure we will see each other again.
All in all, I was very happy with the results in Tammy's car. She is so ready for a tuner to see what it'll run. Will keep ya posted.
