Default New ride

OK, I am 99% sure I am going to pony up on a 2012 GT500 with 4.10s, Watts link, and 20s with custom wheels and Toyos. It's a custom builder's car who has been on I think 17 magazine covers. The thing is a friggin beast and 1st and 2nd on the street are a handful to say the least, even when you roll into it. Needless to say I am going to need some serious practice before I get her to the track. Both my folks passed in the last couple of weeks and yes, I am going to shamelessly take a chunk of my inheritance and pony up for the car of my dreams. I know I will need to get a spare set of wheels with DRs for the back and will be leaning on ya'll for help. What would you think this thing with a decent driver run? He didn't even put a tuner or pulley on it since the power is hard enough to handle down low as it is. He actually set it up more for a road track (Halliet).

Hey man Sorry to hear about your folks... If you do decide to buy it are you gonna gear her down a bit? Seems like 410's would be to much gear in a GT500. Man I would love to see that ride. Gota any pics??

Sorry to hear about your parents. But I'm sure they'd want you to enjoy the inheritance. Sounds like a great car.

Hopefully this comes through....finally managed to get pics off my new phone. New ride-gt500.jpg

But, I can't get the front and back to upload. It's got the same blue on the stripes with a tiny ribbon of red on the outside.

Hey man, truly sorry to hear about your parents. Definitely will be thinking about you and your family.

I think with those mods, your looking at lower 12s with a 1.9 60', 117-118 traps. Friend of mine has a 2011, he ran high 11s stock with some DRs, so with those bigger wheels and 4.10s, the tires and gear should cancel each other out and run basically stock.

He now has a pulley and tune and is running mid 11s at 124! So if you decide to go faster, you're definitely picking the right car to do it with.

^ agree with stone. the 4.10's and street tires are making that car feel faster than it is. Throw some dr's on it right away so that it's easier for you to handle. With good tires and an average 1.7~ 60' then some solid 11's are to be had. Not bad for a basically stock car.

Along with everyone else I'm sorry about your parents, losing them that close together must have been extremely tough, Hopefully not many people ever have to go thru that.
