Raced my friends Dodge Avenger...
The other night. Hes got a 2011 dodge avenger (3.6l v6, stock #'s are 283hp, 260ft lbs. He added on a cai, tb, and catback exhaust. Auto tranny. Mine's a manual.
From a rolling start (around 3rd gear) we were neck n neck till 90, then i started pulling on him.
From a stopped start we were still real close. Both right next to each other.
Now, from my observation, i would've considered my car to be way faster (2013 v6 PP w/ CAI +91 tune). I've only got 1500 miles on the car, maybe she needs breaking in a little more? I take it easy and don't push her too hard, especially since its a new engine. I'm just real surprised he kept up. Much respect to him. Your thoughts on this?

Well I just did a quick search on both cars and yeah your stang has a slight advantage in power and weight. The roll outcome seems right, but from a dig your manual tranny should have put you out front quicker. But like you said, it's a new car, I'd wait alittle bit before really abusing the clutch with high rpm launches.
Still a good kill thou, congrats.
