13 6er (stock) vs LS1 TA
Getting a haircut today and this guy that was in my mustang club comes in. We talk about the old days and he tells me that he's ditched his 98 GT for a 2013 6er. I was like da** man you've really stepped your game up! He goes on telling me his recent kills and then he mentions that he put the smack down on a LS1 Trans Am. He said that his car is auto as well as the TA and he said he beat him by at least 2 car lengths. They went from a dead stop to 110. I'm calling BS on this one but didn't want to say anything. What do you guys think?

Did he mention mods? A couple of V6s guys on here could have taken me stock.

Blue I can kinda see the guy in the TA spinning a bit but wouldn't he be able to reel him in by 85 mph or so? Damn those 3.7s are really impressive...

it's bull****, go on ls1tech and youll see that 9 times out of 10 a stock ls1 fbody beats stock 11+ gt's!!!
....Ok now back to reality. I can see it happening. while prolly unlikely. Like blue's saying driver error can account for a lot. hell the ta guy might have tried manually shifting it and hit the limiter. Lots of things could happen even in auto cars.

As a former auto LS1 F-body owner, I can't imagine a realistic scenario that would allow for this outcome. Any buffoonery that the TA driver could have gotten himself into with that pretty much foolproof car would have been ironed out well before 110 mph, which would be past the 1/4 mile mark.
