Hypothetically Would My Car Beat a 96 Cobra?
This guy always talks **** about my car when I pull up to his work. He drives a '96 Cobra with 0 mods and his car doesn't look very well taken care of. Visible dents and paint chips all over so I'm assuming he wasn't keeping up with his maintenance. I looked up his specs online and they seem extremely close to mine. We're are going to do a 1/4 mile run next week I just wanted to know how I'd fair. Our specs are almost identical so right now I'm hoping that 18 years of wear and tear and rust will give me a slight advantage.

Purp you beat me to it. Alot of things come in to play especially, when both cars are so evenly matched. I would say it would be a helluva race and would love to see a vid. Since you say the Cobra has seen better days you might have this one but it all depends on how bad the old girl (Cobra) is.. It's hard to believe the Cobra's stock. Might wanna check under the hood..

Your Cobra buddy is most likely in for a rude awakening. As stated multiple times above, its a drivers race. Good chance you could actually pull on him. Obviously it could go either way, but it should be very close regardless.

His is stick mine is auto. I asked him twice if he has any mods and he said no. I'll check under his hood if he wins lol I'm pretty sure I'm only running the 2.73 gears and I have no idea what gears a stock '96 has. Oh and I have a Roush Axle-Back and a Roush CAI I just installed two days ago. No tune though so I'm going to just assume those are useless for now.
