Default vs. Charger RT

So I have placed a lot of money on a race on my 2012 Mustang GT vs at 2012ish Dodge Charger RT. We are looking at a 1 mile race from a stop. From my POV, I should beat the crap out of him no matter what. Only problem is he has an auto and I am running a manual. Any suggestions on how to prep?

Good god. A mile. Somebodys gonna die. Make the race to 100mph and call it a day. Dont spin on launch and win easily.

Interesting...I guess practice your launching but this seems full of fail.

Holy hell, do you realize you two dumb asses are going to be running in excess of 150 mph by the time you reach the mile marker? Just do what Bluebeast suggested and don't die.

What does he have done to his R/T that he thinks he has a chance to win....especially in a full mile run? I traded a 2012 R/T in on my 5.0 and, while the charger R/T can get up and go really well, it's no match against a 5.0. Even tuned you will win. The new R/T, with 2.56 gears, is limited to 130mph and the 3.06 geared Road and Track is limited to 145mph. You'll be bangin' your rev limiter way before he hits his top speed.

Curious too exactly how much this R/T is betting on the run. Terrible wager for sure.

Why would you want to run two cars side by side all out for a mile ???

Doesn't sound like the TX mile. Finding a place for a mile run and actually doing it are going to be interesting. As said the R/T shouldn't have a prayer and you are going to be going like a bat. It sounds like the Charger owner is clueless

I raced an RT at Norwalk in my 06 Gt and beat it by about a car length. I had a tune and have no idea what the RT had though.
