Hell yea. If my old 5.0 block lived thru a 200 hit. That block should take a 150 and smile.

I don't think it's the block that is restricting him I think he's just trying to ease that 10 bolt thru another season lol. But yeah my shot should stay the same. I was thinking of upping it but to be honest I was happy with it last year and with the combo of the report and lower pulley I think I'll be right where I want to be without touching the jets.

Actually the motor can take about a 300-350 shot, but like greddy said it's the wimpy *** 10 bolt that's the issue lol.

It's a totally forged LQ9 iron block from Thompson Motorsports. Should be able to handle around 900 hp. Where you looking to get the Dart block from?

When it comes to LQ9 motors and Lsx motors, what's the difference. Didn't Tspence have a LQ9 motor as well? Where is that engine from?

Lq9 is a 6.0 iron block out of GM trucks, Denali, etc. It is very popular due to the less than $1k price tag and ability to hold big power, boost, etc. holding 6-700 hp isn't a major problem for a stock lq9.

Crash think of the LQ9 as basically a iron version of the LS2, because that's essentially what it is. Stone is exactly right as well

I'm having a forged 363 done by fordstrokers. I hear those blocks are good for 1200HP. I doubt ill sniff anywhere near a crazy number like that.
