Default 2013 GT vs 2013 SS

Ok guys there is a guy with a 13 Camaro SS who want's to race from a roll today. The temp is about 40 outside, at the moment.

My Mustang is N/a with Ford Pro calibration, gt500 muffler, 3.15 gears and suspension work.

I have no idea if his is a track pack or base. What kind of advantage do I have, Should I ask for a dig/ slow roll somewhere under 40/ a roll faster then 40? I want the win!

I own a Camaro SS and you should win any race you want provided you can drive. It wont be a slaughter but you should pull slightly. The faster you go the more you should pull. From a dig I can cut 1.9 sixtys on my street tires so you don't really have a huge advantage from a dig. To easy to mess up the launch if you don't practice that.

Drivers race if he is a 6-speed, imo.

Power is comparable, although the big pushrod Chevy might have a fatter torque curve. The Mustang has a decisive weight advantage. With all else being equal, the Coyote should pull on the LS3.

Awesome sounds good, I talked to Him last night he is getting his power steering fixed. His Camaro is a 6 speed select shift and he said he is getting it chipped so he wants to race this sunday now.

That's the problem with the rivalry. They both respond well to bolt ons. The Mustangs real advantage is weight. My SS cut a full second off it's stock time with a tune, headers and CAI, muffler delete. Cut another 3ths with a set of drag radials. Both coyote and LS are awesome motors.

Yea its a tough call on which one responds better to mods, but after bolt-ons I think the LS3 is in a better position to keep making NA power. Cam and heads make big power on LS3s. I haven't heard of any aftermarket cams or heads for the Coyote yet. FI power is anyone's guess as usual, especially since both cars can hold impressive power on stock short blocks. I'd go for an SS 1LE personally.

That's true but unless your able to do the work yourself H/C/I Camaros are pricy for the labor. I'm pretty sure most could bolt on a supercharger on their own..Thats where the 5.0 shines. Forced induction.
