What will the HP gain with 87 tune and no CAI?
My son will be learning how to drive a stick soon, can I set the redline RPM lower?

Which tuner are you asking about?

An 87 tune on an 07 GT will generally add maybe 10-15 rwhp.
You can lower the limiter if needed, assuming it is a stick car.

IMO, if he's learning how to drive, a tune is not the best option, stock levels of Traction control, throttle response, and torque management are a new drivers best friend in a somewhat powerful car
