Default Tuner for 03 Cobra

Just picked up a very low mileage 03 Cobra. Considering a tuner for it and have some questions.

I have done some searching and reading, but most of the info I found is about GT's and newer models. Will the Cobra see the same benefits as the other models?

I have some experience with Diablo, but seems like SCT is preferred here and I looked at what AM and Steeda had since I have seen posts by both and a lot of satisfied customers from AM. Looking at their offerings it looks like AM has their tuner for the Cobra at $100 more than the other models, but Steeda seems to be the same price no matter what model you have. Why would there be such a difference?

Thanks

The intune offers some great tunes for the 03-04 Cobra, and I'm sure AM/Bama has some great custom tunes they can provide as well.

Gains for tunes on an 03-04 Cobra are quite a bit stronger than what you'd see on a GT. Average gains should be in the 25-30 rwhp range from just a tune, swap the pulley and CAI and load one of our pulley tunes and gains of 60-70+ rwhp can be seen.

Thanks

Thanks Mike, I was starting to think this forum had completely died. I won't say Diablo is completely out of consideration. I do like the live data monitoring on the X4, I know the intune can log data, but can you see a live display also?

You can see the data on the inTune screen, but its not necessarily designed for monitoring while driving.

You can play the data back on a PC where its much easier to make sense of it.

Thanks

One more question about the diablo. I found a very old article that did several mods to the 2003 and dyno'd each change along the way. It actually compared the older diablo and SCT tuners. It said that the canned diablo tunes actually came out even richer at higher RPM's than the stock tune, which was already very rich. Would you have any idea if this has been changed along the way?

I'd be curious to see the article, and check what mods they did with each tune, but yes, if it was a legit issue its certainly been updated/corrected over the years.

Thanks
