Yes - if the serial number on the back starts with "X3" then it's custom tune only - so only custom tunes can be added to the tuner. If the serial number starts with "XP" then it has both preloaded and custom tune capabilities.
The X3's support up to the 2014 model year - so if you have other ford vehicles that are supported and within that range then you should have preloaded tunes available (tunes made for mostly stock vehicles) and you could load custom tunes for your other vehicles as well.
keep in mind that it is not possible to have a tune on more than one vehicle at a time.
