8 cylinders and 700 miles
Unlike George, my saga of getting a GT lasted only 2 weeks. Picked one out, signed the paperwork, picked it up a week later.
Learning stick is not NEARLY as hard as people talk about, its really not that difficult. However, racing it I could see being a bit of a problem. And wtf is up with the reverse on the mustang 5speed? Do all sticks say "**** you" sometimes when you want to go backwards? And I got really used to it driving to Columbus, hence the 700 miles part.
ANYWAY....George wanted pics, so here they are:
Black on black, exactly what I wanted (and YES, I did NOT want leather. Leather sucks. PERIOD)
First orders of business, new rims, new headlights, putting my system back in and moving the spoiler back, I can do without the gas pedal mod (the one with the hose and clamps/zipties), because it was hard enough with an auto, cant even IMAGINE doing it around the clutch pedal as well.
And I really have to learn how to ease out of first, I've burned a half a tank in one day .

nice man! as soon as i saw one pic i was gonna say headlights.
and use torque- you shouldnt need to give it alot to get moving. most cars with TQ you can practically let out the pedal the whole way without stalling. i didnt even need to hit the gas to move the chevelle around

To be completely honest, it feels faster than my buddies 02 Z28 auto, but I know better.
For the reverse, I meant that sometimes you CANT put it in R, you have to give it a little gas before itll set into R.
I was just messing around yesterday on the way to work, ripped through 2nd and thought I was gonna die, and I still had 3rd and 4th left (I shut down after 2nd because I was already at the speed limit), and I used a quarter tank to get to work and come home yesterday (about 15 miles lol).
Today, I did just like I did with my sixer, kept the RPMs to about 2k, then shifted. I barely saw my needle move today .

Ya, its actually only got 16-inch wheels on it right now, hence the "need new rims" part. I don't know when Ill get them though, rims are WAAAAY overpriced for what they are, unlike tires that are actually usually worth it.
