I'm going insane..please help
 

So I thought I had this whole exhaust thing figured out but now I feel like I am back at square one. From what I've heard more V6ers seem to like the flowmaster 40's set up, possibly with an x pipe. I was really considering this until I stopped by my local performance and dyno shop. The guy there suggested cat back magnaflows all the way. He told me that they may not be as loud but they will be throatier. He claims that the flowmasters will sound like rice. So now I'm stuck. I don't know which ones to go with. All I know is I want some form of duals, a throaty sound, louder than stock, not ricey, and some hp gain. Please help. Magnaflows or flowmaster??????

flowmasters will in no way sound like rice, it's the best sixer exhaust ive ever heard in person and possibly even online. magnaflow would stand out, but id be a lot more worried about those sounding ricey because they're a straighter through design

i got my exhaust done alittle bit less than a month ago. and the guy was trying to get me to buy turbos, dont listen to them get what you want. im happy i did b/c turbos sound like rice

summit racing, force flow mufflers, they are exactly the same as flowmaster but are $30;)

Exactly how I feel. The Delta 40s in my stang sound better than almost every stock V8 i've heard from 2000 down.

I have flow 40's with an x-pipe and it only sounds good at 2400-2650 RPM. After 2800 RPM you will hear the civic sound[:o].
I am having the mufflers swapped out tuesday for Mac mufflers, to give it the tone.

If i were you and you were to go cat-back, go with the MAC cat back kit, it sounds good and isnt hollow like the flows. Magnaflow also sounds sweet like the macs...i just dont reccomend to go with flowmaster...everyone on this forum may have them, but that doesnt mean their stangs sound good.....dont mean to be an azz here but just my $.02.


To me, flows ONLY sound good on the GT's, but for some reason, the 6cyl sounds like trash.
