I have found a site that claims the svo 2.3's can handle 400+ hp due to it's "forged pistons and connecting rods, a high nickel cast content iron block, and a cast crank that just wont die."

My question is, due the stock 2.3's have that heavy duty block and crank? Will my 2.3, which i have turboe'd, handle 400+ hp if i get some forged pistons and connecting rods?

it should if you can get the heads to flow enough for 400+hp. also checkout the cams that sealed power/speed pro has for the 2.3 they are pretty stout if you are in the market for one

or just get a dual plug roller cam. i'm not positive, but i think na and turbo 2.3's have the same block. the connecting rods on both are the same so all you need is pistons and you'll be somewhat in business. don't expect to go too far without a tunable ecu though.
