Default Technique for burning rubber?

My v6 mustang wont seem to do a burnout.
It also doesnt want to burn any rubber when leaving a redlight. Any tips? Or is the v6 just that underpowered?

Are you auto or manual???

If you are manual, dump the clutch at like 4000-4500, if you dont spin then, there may be something wrong with yo whip.....or maybe really really good tires, haha.

yea if that doesnt work u must have slicks lol. and if u have an auto step on the brake and gas at the same time...around 3k let go of the brake and floor it....i have a manual but that seems like it could work.

It's an auto. How much damage does that truly do to the transmission?

put it in 1, step on the break and the gas, let off a little after the tires start spining, then around 4700 rpms go into second gear

in a manual i doubt it does any damage....jus wears out the clutch faster(maybe). but in an auto i couldnt tell u...i couldnt imagine a problem unless u did it ALL the time.

It shouldnt do damage to the tranny if you do it right. I have manual, so wait for some auto guys to tell you how to do a brake stand. Or just google "brake stand."

All I do is hold the break down as far as it will go then give it gas until the tires start spinning and u can keep holding the brakes
and spinning the tires(most smoke) or you can get off the brake when it starts spinning and floor the gas and you'll get a crazy burnout either way.
Which is probally fukin up my rear brakes but I only do it once in a while.
