89 LX 2.3L
I've got an ex rental car. All options. Body is suffering from a bit of rust and in bad need of paint (parked to close to horses). Paid $100 semi-running. Gave it a tune up, fixed some ignition problems, etc.Now I get about 25 mpg and driving it about 400 miles a week. I have no power in the hills and want some kick.
I thought about a v-8 conversion, then saw that I could just buy a V-8 mustang for what the cost of doing that would be.
Any ideas about what I can do? Can I fit turbo or something onto this 2.3L?
I'm going to have even more money into the car after the paint as well.

When I started looking into the costs of some of the things I wanted to do to this 87 LX 2.3 4 cyl, I was fast becoming a believer that there are somethings one is better off to buy.
I've never owned a mustang before and just have the "fever". Perhaps if this car held some sentimental value and I wanted a bigger engine... but this is not the case.
Just a good deal on a used rental.
For now, a few exhaust tweaks and the elusive K&N filter (everyone has to order them here).<edited><editID>normlguy67</editID><editDate>37815.1042824074</editDate></edited>
