Default Tensioner Going Bad??

Yesterday I went to the shop to get my ASP pulley installed and the shop put the belt on wrong so it was squealing like crazy. I took it back and told them to reinstall the belt because it wasnt installed right. Guy tried to be a smartass telling me that he did it right but I've seen him sneak in the office and print out a diagram of the belt ,he reinstalled it and the squealing noise stopped. Noise only happened when I powered on the AC and all that stress on the engine made it squeal. Well before that guy told me my tensioner is going bad. Car pulled well after install but earlier today it looks like it has hard time climbin up the RPMs, U guys think tensioner could be the problem,it doesnt pull well as it did before. This also started happening after I put some ARCO gas in my car ,may be thats whats causing it??

What octane gas? If its too high your car might run funny. Did it overheat? Maybe he had the WP spinnin backwards.

check to see if the belt has tension on it, it won't be rock solid but it will definitely have tension. if it does the tensioner is probably fine. you may have gotten bad gas. how many miles?
