RE: HID's...LUMINICS??
i would get HID... i bought luminics and they arent that great... they are a little brighter then stock and alittle blue

RE: HID's...LUMINICS??
It just depends on what you are looking for. If you want the blue look, then get the hids or it'll look rice. I have the silverstar ultras and I love them. They aren't blue but they are really bright. I got them off ebay for like $28 brand new s/h included. Its up to you.

RE: HID's...LUMINICS??
$125 for single beam hid with no high beam option
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-X...mZ280120140900 or $265 for dual beam, dual xenon hids with hid low and hid high. includes 4 ballasts/ignitors total http://cgi.ebay.ca/HID-XENON-CONVERS...QQcmdZViewItem |
RE: HID's...LUMINICS??
I actually bought the silverstar ultras which are supposed to be the brightest stock lightbulb and they were $50 from autozone. They sucked. I mean, the light was good, but nothing better really than stock silverstars.
I would say just buy some HIDs. A lot of people dont like ebay, but I haven't had a problem, you just have to watch who you buy from. |

no^ HID bulbs should not cost that much. and your experience with the Silverstar Ultras does not apply to Mustangs because your Tiburon has projector headlights stock, which will ALWAYS give off better lighting than regular reflector headlamps.
HP, if you really want upgraded lighting, you HAVE to get a set of projector housings + HIDs. this is the only way. i have Bi-Xenon HIDs in my stock lights now, and they ARE brighter, but HIDs were just not designed to be retrofitted into housings that originally housed Halogen bulbs. sometime this year, i am going to retrofit a set of Acura TSX projectors into my stock lights. they are the best projectors our there. period. aftermarket or OEM. the next best alternative for us is to get a set of aftermarket (yet ricey-looking) projector headlight housings. mrbodykit.com has a set, which i believe are called "Gen 3" projectors. they look the LEAST ricey of all the ones out there for New Edges IMO. then get yourself a set of 4300k HIDs for the low-beams, and some PIAA or Hella bulbs for the high-beams (aftermarket projector housings separate the low-beam and high-beams. the low-beam is the projector). that will be the best possible lighting for our mustangs, short of custom molding in a set of Acura TSX or (insert your luxury car with projectors name here)____. the bottom line is: our mustang's headlights were just poorly designed. the actual position of the housings is very close to the center of the car, giving off a very narrow beam that doesn't reach as far. so putting brighter bulbs, including HIDs will HELP, but not even come close to a proper projector/HID set-up. |
